About the site
How we verify
The rules every page follows before it is published.
Two independent sources
A figure needs two sources that do not copy each other before we state it as fact. Two Wikipedia articles count as one source, and a table that cites one of our other sources counts as that source. Two sites that print the same table count as one. Where we only have one, we say so.
We do the arithmetic
Production rows must add up to the total, body by body. Percentages are recomputed from the figures, not copied. If a source's numbers do not add up, the conflict goes on the rulings page.
Open rulings stay open
When we cannot settle a conflict, we leave it marked as open rather than pick the figure we like best.
Our own illustrations
Every car drawing is made for this site from photographs whose license allows it, and the license is credited. We do not use photographs from listings, forums or manufacturers' press sites.
Independent
We are not affiliated with any manufacturer. Model names are used to describe the cars.
